With the exception of persons holding both a valid Congolese passport and a foreign passport,
All foreign travelers must obtain an entry visa for the Republic of the Congo before their departure.
Obtaining a visa in advance is mandatory.
Anyone entering with a foreign passport must have a valid visa and the required supporting documents before boarding.


Applications submitted in person(2/3)

Visa applications must be submitted to the Congo Visa Centre.

Payment in cash or by bank transfer on the day of application.
Card or check payments are not accepted.

An incomplete application or an incorrect payment may result in a delay or a temporary refusal.

The Embassy of the Republic of the Congo in the United Kingdom informs the public that, from now on, all Congolese nationals travelling with a foreign passport must present one of the following documents when applying for a visa :

  • a hotel reservation ;
  • a certificate of accommodation ;
  • or a consular card (cost : £20  •  of validity period : 24 months).

The documents required for us to issue a visa are as follows:
  • A valid passport (with at least 6 months remaining) containing at least two (2) blank pages.

  • A visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant, and two (2) recent photos**.

  • A certificate of accommodation (must be countersigned by the DDST)**.

** These documents must be renewed with each visa application.

In accordance with current regulations, all business visa applications must be accompanied by a certificate of accommodation and a letter of invitation.

The documents required for a visa application are as follows:

  • A valid passport (Your passport must be valid for at least 6 months and must have at least two (2) blank pages)
  • A visa application form duly completed and signed by the applicant and two (2) recent photos.**
  • An invitation letter (the invitation letter must be included in an official letter from the company or institution addressed to the Embassy of the Republic of Congo) **
  • A certificate of accommodation (MUST be countersigned by the DGST), or a hotel reservation. (Hotel reservations are only accepted for 15-day visas)
  • A reservation or an airline ticket
